So I have recently decided to start my own photography business. I am pretty excited about it. I'm always the person that has the camera in hand because I love catching those precious moments that you can't get back other than through photographs. I'm going to be doing families, children, newborns, maternity and engagments. Hopefully in the near future I will move into weddings. I want to take my time over the next year and learn as much as I can and get as much practice as I can in. If you or any of your friends need pictures done please refer them to me. They can go to my blog at www.jennielynn-photography.blogspot.com to see my portfolio in progress :-) I have quite a few shoots lined up over the next month so check them out as they are posted. Thanks
Yes we went and saw the Easter bunny. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa. He made a stop at the South Towne Mall. Sky didn't want to sit on his lap, but he was okay with sitting on the bench. And of course Aaliyah probably thought that he was warm and cuddly. Their cousin Rylee was also with us because she was shopping for her birthday present.
Well I think it was just about time for me and Ty to get out of the house and have some fun without the kids. We went one night with our friends to the Westerner to ride the mechanical bull and hang out. And the other night we went back to the Westerner, but to see Tracy Lawrence in concert. We had such a blast both nights. I danced so much at the concert that when I woke up the next morning I realized that I had enormous blisters on both of my feet from my boots. But they were well worth it.
We decided to get a zoo pass this year for the family. It is super cheap and is good for 365 days out of the year. I think that it is going to be a great activity for me and the kids to do on our days off together. It'll be a free activity in other words. We have already gone 2 times and Sky has loved it. I think it will also help him learn his animals a lot faster.
So as I mentioned in the previous post... Aaliyah got her ears pierced. We had to wait until after her 2 month immunizations, but then we did it. We went to the Piercing Pagoda at South Towne Mall and they were so good with her. They recommend not doing both of them at the same time because the liklihood that they do it at the same time is slim and she may jerk. I'll admit she cried as they pierced them, but as soon as I cuddled her she fell right asleep. Even ask my mom :-) She looks so cute with them done and she doesn't even realize that they are there.
Well with my baby girl coming 5 week earlier than I expected, I guess you can say that my life has been thrown into a whirlwind. Schedules have been almost impossible. The first week of her life she spent under bili lights because her liver wasn't quite mature enough. It was really hard leaving her under those lights. All I wanted to do was hold her. Well once she was off the lights... that is exactly what I did... hold her. NOW all she wants is to be held. Which is okay with me. Because they grow so much, as you can see from these pictures.
I decided to take off 12 weeks of work for maternity leave and it is going way too fast. I cannot believe my baby is 2 1/2 months old. She is breastfed, likes a binky sometimes, is starting to coo, and is also starting to smile (not just when she has gas). She LOVES to eat, but pukes every time because she eats too much. Don't worry though, she is keeping enough down to gain weight. She was 10lb 8 oz on her 2 month check up. So Dr. Shakula says she is well fed. I think we can all agree that she is a spittin image of her mama (lucky girl). But I may not win the most favoritest award if it is up to her daddy. Tyler is so in love with this little girl and it is the most precious thing to watch. But that's not the only boy that is in love with her in this house (Skylar and Kayden adore her too). She is going to have it rough when she is old enough to date.
Well she is our little jewel. She has an overly stuffed closet of clothes, bowes and headbands of every color, pierced ears with flower earrings, and manicures with nail polish every 4 or so days. I love watching these kids grow... I just wish it didn't go by so fast.
Here is a picture of Aaliyah from today. I just can't get over how beautiful she is (is that vain because she looks like me? ha hah aha ha) But really. Love you baby girl.
My friend from work, Kim, approached me a few months ago about taking my baby's pictures after she was born. She is learning photography, so I said why not? I just didn't realize how good she was until I got my pictures back. Good job Kim. You are doing great. We started out with the tutu pic's. I made Aaliyah this brown and pink tutu and she hated it. It was itchy and cold. But I loved the pics.
They were all so precious.
I love this scrabble name that she does. So cute.
And that's all folks. I had to do the wedding rings again. I just loved it when I did them with Sky. Thanks Kim again. I think that you will do very good in photography. PS, her link is to the left if you wish to have her do pictures for you.
Excellence can be attained if you... care more than others think is wise. risk more than others think is safe. dream more than others think is practical. expect more than others think is possible. -Unknown Author
Tyler and I met on September 30th 2006. We were immediately attached at the hip. Two weeks shy of one year together, we were hitched. Tyler, Kayden and I became a family. Now we have added two little angels to our family, Skylar and Aaliyah. Life is good and we love watching our little family grow.
